Meet Our Baker: David

Born in Lyon and raised in the beautiful coastal city of Nice, France, David’s journey with bread began in the heart of traditional French bakeries. His passion for the craft has since taken him across the globe, honing his skills and gathering inspiration in Japan and Montreal before finally settling here in British Columbia.

What started as a lifelong dream of owning his own bakery began to take shape in the winter of 2023. You might have first met David at local Tri-City markets, where he gained a following for his signature cheesecakes.

This March marks an exciting new chapter for David and his family. Following a successful launch at our Fat Dragon Eatery pop-up, we are thrilled to announce that Boule Carré will now have a permanent presence at Fat Dragon every Sunday and Monday!

As a proud resident of Port Coquitlam, a devoted husband to his Japanese wife, and a father of two, David is dedicated to creating a bakery that truly belongs to the community. He spends every day refining new ideas to bring unique, high-quality, and delicious creations to his neighbors in the Tri-Cities.
